AC.....gone?

Hi all as my ac radiator is shot to bits just wondering how easy it would be to remove the ac from my car all together???

It's not that hard to do at all mate. And will save about 50kgs all told.

No pump, no fan, no extra radiator. I say go for it.

is there any kind of guide at all or just best to get someone who know what they are doing and say i want it removed???

I'm in the same boat and wanna know the same thing. Apart the weight drop would there be any gains due to less drag from the crank not having to spin the pulley??

if you remove the pump then you will need a non AC fan belt to replace the existing one. I'm sure the 6th gen came with no a/c so easy to get hold of

I was thinking of this too, I let the gas out mine last summer and apparently leaving the system empty destroys the seals and renders it useless? I have climate control though, does anyone know if anything dodgy will happen if I take that out and whack in one of the twisty knob units?
