Diesel Type-S came in the 8th gen, 7th gen diesel was just S (for Sport) which means it doesn't have leather seats basically.

AFAIK, "Type-S" means "stiffer suspension", and "Type-R" means "racing suspension and engine"

I think the sport / sport gt may have some kind of body kit fitted? Checked parkers and the type s is listed as 2.0/2.4 petrol only.
also stumbled across some of the old brochures online - how things have changed !

Mine comes with half-leather seats, (a bit of a godsend in this current weather) but is marked down as sport on the documentation.
