2001 accord coupe
Hi all, I have a 2001 2.0 accord coupe (US Built)
Ive recently had my M.O.T done and I needed new bottom ball joints. these were replaced without problem.
there was an advisory to replace the top ball joints. These come fixed in the wishbone.
Unfortunately I cannot seem to find the correct ones for this model, I tried the one s supplied by my local parts centre who ***ured me they were the correct part for the registration i gave them. However they were far too small and seemed to be for the UK hatch version.
Anyone got any ideas where to get the right ones in this country?
Cheers!!

Hey dude.

I think the best thing for you to do would be to call a Honda dealer. Try Holdcroft Honda first mate. Top dealership, and great service.

Yeah I think you're probably right. I guess they'll be about a million pounds each!
I can't believe that you can't just change the ball joint.
Seems like a big money maker for Honda.
Thanks for the reply :)

Yeah I tried similar ones to these.
I bought pair of top and bottom for £40 plus p&p although the bottom ones were useful my mechanic said that he couldnt get the top ones out to replace as they are pressed into the wishbone. He is a bit of a dipstick though.
Think most mechanics are just fitters these days!! controversial I know but just my opinion.
Thanks for your interest anyway :)

That is the whole point!
You press them out again and replace them by pressing in the new ones
At least dipsticks have some use in life.
