Hi guys, i'm thinking about changing my steering wheel for an after market one for a better feel but i have found a stumbling block. I did this on my Supra and it was a simple case of remove oem steering wheel, fit boss, fit new wheel, fix horn (no airbag) but obviously the 6th gen has got an airbag.

Firstly how do you make sure it doesnt go off when removing, secondly once it is disconnected wont it throw a light up on the dash? if so how do i get around that?

Any help would be awesome thanks. :)

Just disconnect he battery first. A resistor of some sort can be fitted to the a/bag loom, so no warning lights but you'll need to get proper advice on that. As for deleting the a/bag I really don't think it's a very good idea. One, your insurance company may not be happy about it & two, you are exposing yourself to injury if you had a crash. Have a look at a 6th gen Sport, ATR or maybe a wheel from a Civic.
