Hi

Is there any one who use Magnaflow cathalitic converter in our UK market accord?
I wanted to order it but they told me they can't say if it direct fit...

Can anyone help me or ***ure me if its gonna work or not please??

I don't think it will fit

A couple of points:

The Accord sold in the USA is a slightly different car - some elements are the same but some are different. The Mk7/Mk8 accord "euro" was sold as the Acura TSX which is a lot closer to our Accord.
There was never a diesel Accord or TSX sold in the USA so these parts will be for petrol models. In your forum info it says you have a diesel so I ***ume that is the car you are asking about.

I have a Magnaflow cat fitted to my car but it's a Mk8 2.4 petrol (https://rv6-p.com/products/i4-hfpc-222) - I imagine it is not suitable for a diesel car

According to the parts catalogue the diesel car is part number 18160-rbd-e00 - there are a few aftermarket options on autodoc, for example - https://www.autodoc.parts/car-parts/oem/18160rbde00

I have 2.4 petrol from 2007 now, not diesel, I am sorry for confusing you.

Do you think it will fit then?

How is your experience with Magnaflo cat? Is it comparable to OEM cat? I mean does it stop unwanted fumes, smells?

Yes, it has the same oem number. Price is high...
Not sure what will be the difference between this one and the one I found...
Honestly don't know what to do

You can probably just go to your local exhaust fitter and ask them to weld in a generic aftermarket cat, if yours has failed

The magnaflow for me works fine but it's nothing special - these aftermarket cats don't have as long a life as the genuine OEM ones but it should last a few years
 
What I read online, people say that the best Choice is Magnaflow or Walker, other converters are rubbish...
That's why I am trying to use them.
