I replaced the cheap & nasty crossland air filter my garage had used with a genuione Honda air filter today. I struggled to remove the cover, there was 2 screws at the front, two screws on either side in the middle, which were all removed with an 8mm ratchet. However, it wouldnt fully raise up from the back, and i could just lift it enough to pull out the existing filter and squeeze through the replacement filter. It bedded in fine in the end, but i was expecting the cover to come away easier than that and provide better access.
