Hi there

I've developed a problem with my aircon. If I turn it on on a warm day, it's only blowing cooled air from the passenger side. The drivers side just blows ambient temp air.

Is the Nav diag menu, all items are green, not sure what else I can check on this one??
 
A daft question but make sure your car is not on dual climate.
Also change your pollen filter and get the system regassed at a Honda dealer.
 
Thanks Brett, nope, not on dual!

I ran the system with the pollen filter removed. Didn't make any difference...

Is DIY regassing an option, I've seen kits in motor factors??
 
My advise is only go to a Honda dealer for a regas.
I have heard so many horror story's else where and the DIY kits don't touch
 
Hi Barry - did you ever find out what the issue was? I have exactly the same problem, just started happening. Passenger side blows cold air, drivers side ambient.

I ended up going to my local mechanic for a regas. He said the pressure was low, but no leaks detected. It sorted the issue, but it's starting to do the same thing again, not as bad yet. But it'll probably keep getting worse...
 
I'm in Ireland, so it was around €60 i think. I got it done around May last year, started noticing it fading on the drivers side again a couple of months ago.

The drivers side does seem to improve the longer the aircon is left on?? But it never quite get as cool as the passenger side.

If you do find anything out, it'd be great if you could post back here, thanks
 
FYI .... Halfords regassed mine after I swapped the condenser, I don't see any particular reason to go to a dealer for aircon issues, in fact it would seem that dealers don't know anything about aircon, several anecdotal stories over the last couple of years of dealers saying that the compressor needed replacing when it turned out to be only the relay (after people read my aircon guide in the DIY section).

I'm not saying that it is the relay or compressor on your car btw. And I'm puzzled as to why regassing would solve this particular issue. It could also be that vents are stuck (they're electrically driven). You'll have to experiment to find out if the vent is stuck, or of there is a constant temperature difference. Try it with the aircon on and off, and also with dual on and off. That's 4 different combinations to try, move the temperatures up and down and see if there is any difference between any combination.
