alo all i am new member.......have tourer 2.2icdti..2006........rear wash wiper hose disconnected in roof space looks like its been cut by something and it soaked the rear of car bad.At the same time the alarm would go off during the small hrs and day time.On the dash it kept showing up red bar as if the tail gate was open when driving over bumps..But alarm has not gone off for a few days now since it has dried out in roof space inside back of car.............Abit worried if car left somewhere that car alarm will go off again......some help please as to what i can do to check out the alarm system.....thanks....malco

It sounds like the water from the wash wipe maybe shorting the switch in the boot as you say the fault has not shown itself since the boot dried out. Id just keep it dry and if the fault doesnt appear again i'd call it problem solved mate.
