Just unlocked my car with the fob and the alarm went off. Couldn't get it to stop, so had to drive away with it going off. And going off. And going off. My ears are still ringing.

Luckily not too far from home, so called in and took the battery off for a few minutes. The sounder continued, all be it at a much reduced volume.

With the battery back on it's quiet again -so far.

When at work I can't park within earshot so I can't tell if it goes off all day in my absence (though if I find a brick through the window it would be a clue!). And I don't fancy coming back to a flat battery.

Anyhow, this is a new one to me. Hopefully it'll be a one off, but if not is there anything I can do to investigate further or get in stock if something needs changing? The sounder sounded like it was in the boot somewhere -is it easy to get at to disconnect should the need arise?

Cheers. Late for work now. Best go!

Nice one! I've been away from TA for a week or two and missed that one!

That's my thread mate, I had this problem last Thursday morning around 02:30 when everyone was asleep :(

It happened again on Sunday afternoon when I unlocked the car and got ready to go home from work.
I've tried to press few times on each button on the fob key but it didn't work. So, how did I eventually shut it up was slam-closed all the doors and boot, pressed and held the lock button until it went silent. Leave it for 10 mins. The alarm didn't went off when I unlocked it :)

This is my first Honda, and perhaps I made a mistake when I locked the car. I said this because I used to press locked button twice on my previous cars for the double dead locking (including a gen 7 Celica). I don't know if Honda has the same security system or not, now I only press once to lock, so far nothing happen since.

Hope this help you mate
