accord i-cdti
This may be an old thread, but i can not find a solution to date. I own a 57 plate honda accord i-cdti 2.2 diesel saloon. Over the weekend i removed the battery as i went away in my caravan and needed a back up. However, on my return, i fully charged the battery and put it back into the car only to find that the alarm keeps going off for 30 seconds...goes off for 3 seconds and then comes back on, and so on and on. I have tried every sequence on the key fob, i have been up all night researching solutions on google to no avail, I have contacted the dealer who gave me another sequence and that didn't work (he then told me to phone my recovery service, but i don't have one)...The strange thing is that everything on the car works as it should (ie. central locking, windows, the engine starts and i can drive the car)...the only problem is that i look like i'm stealing my own car. The user manual makes no reference to resetting the alarm or even disabling it for me to get it to a garage. I know that the battery is good and i have both sets of key fobs and they both work so i know either of these are not the problem...SUCKS!! Someone please help me!!

when you used the battery for your caravan did you drain it.
the reason i ask is a car battery is no good for a caravan you need a leisure battery.
A car battery is for a quick burst of power to turn the engin.
A Leisure battery is for long usage given a steady flow of power.
Its a long shot but the battery could be shot

Robert search for this topic you will find your answer .
The answer is nowhere on this forum. However, I did figure it out. The drivers door needs to be open with the ignition set to "on". Then connect the battery, turn the key off and pull it out. Put it into the drivers side door and turn to the lock position. Then unlock. Then the hazard lights will flash on and off. Wait for the red light to appear on the dashboard. Then lock and unlock again with the key fob. Job done.

I've got a similar problem with the alarm on my 06 tourer ex.
I unlocked the car with the fob as normal, and the alarm went off before I opened the door. I've tried the sequence you posted CJ and I've ensured the battery is fully charged. I checked the voltage as posted by Beefy, and it is well above that figure.
The alarm just won't stop going off, so in the end I disconnected the siren and waited for the internal battery to go flat. But I would really like to get it working again. Any ideas?

Sorry not im,e for hellos. Just had this on my 04 CTDi and seems to be dead battery in remote - alarm going off intermittently last night despite no other probs and no warnings. This morning wouldn't open - change battery and everything cushty. Though I now have an engine light on dash. Reset is somewhere on here i'm sure.
