Another navigation question

Hi to everyone,

Got what might seem an odd question but I was wondering if anyone had swapped the nav unit in an 2.2 ctdi ex-l 2004 to a non nav unit? Can it be done? Will it screw up the aircon and heater controls? I only ask as I don't want the nav unit in mine. The disc is missing and frankly I wouldn't use it's features. I was thinking of getting a standard radio that was maybe fitted in the sport version of eBay and fitting that in but not sure it would control everything.

the aircon units in the petrol and diesel are totally different, and AFAIK the connections between the Nav and aircon units are not interchangeable

Not really worth the effort, just get a new disc/copy
