Greetings!
Before anyone tell me to just buy a CL9, let me explain why.
Where i live (Norway) manual CL9 is basically non existant. Haven't seen a single one for sale the last two years.
Import is out of the question because the fees are higher than the car itself. And CL9's (auto) goes for $7000 over here. Money isn't really a concern, but i don't want to throw it out of the window on taxes.

My main concern is the DBW, so I'm wondering if the throttle body from the k20 fits the intake on the k24, or if the intake on the k20 fits the k24 head.
And if it makes any difference (or easier) my plan is to do a frank swap.

looking at parts diagrams on lings, the k20a6 intake will bolt onto the k24a2/a3 head, and the two intakes use the same gasket, but the k20a6 intake will be more restrictive. the throttle bodies are not interchangeable, but both types use the same 6 pin connector for the valve actuator. map sensor part numbers are also the same.

you say money isn't a concern, but if you want it done legally without jumping through hoops with the dmv when it comes to registering a (heavily)modified vehicle, then importing may be worth the investment as it saves you the headache, the time, and maybe even money in the long run
(not to get all preachy :p)

Awesome! Just found out that the CL9 where only available as auto here. So that's the reason why I haven't seen anyone for sale.

Also someone told me that the facelift CL7 got DBW, so a swap should be pretty straight forward i guess. But you got a point. In the long run it may be best to import :)

sorry, the 6 pin connector is for the accelerator position sensor, not the butterfly valve although I guess all roads lead to rome in the end
from my understanding of the system, it uses a throttle cable from the pedal up to the spring loaded "wheel", but instead of a physical connection to the butterfly valve, the accelerator position sensor reads pedal/cable input and translates this to ones and zeroes for the actuator which then controls the valve. which is why tsx owners have been trying to convert it from dbw for a decade

regardless of functionality, the accelerator sensor ***embly is the same on both the 2.0 and 2.4
