AT transmission oil topup

Hello, i got a 2007 CL7 with automatic transmission and i just noticed that the oil level of the gearbox was at the minimum. Is there a way you can top it up yourself?

Hi Steven, if its a cold reading on the min that’s absolutely fine as i've never known ATF to drop on a Honda unless there is problem or its been changed and not enough was put in it :blush: anyway don't be alarmed just make sure your parked on level ground when checking the level as the slightest incline will give no min or a max to overfilled reading.

It was a cold reading, yes. And is this ok as i will make some journeys from belgium to the uk in the next few months? So you think it's safe?

Check again with the car warmed-up. It'll expand and it's recommended that you check it then. Gear oil doesn't "burn" away like engine oil, so unless it's leaking or was underfilled you'll be ok.
