Guys , just wondering if anyone else experiences this with their Automatic gearbox, basically there appears to be a sort of slight whining noise when coming off the gas at around 20-25 mile per hour and box has dropped down into say 2nd gear, sounds very much like the noise you might get from a manual gearbox on over-run if you know what I mean, may well be normal what with the torque convertor etc., been a while since I last had an Auto box but don't remember this happening, maybe just a Honda thing!LOL
Cheers Pete

I've had a 6th gen auto and my current 8th gen auto, they both do this slight whining when you come off the gas.

Must be a Honda auto thing.

Just make sure the fluid is topped up and it gets changed at the approved interval, which is usually 6 years/75k miles.

Thanks for your reply Rich, that puts my mind at rest, the auto box isn't a bad box at all really , only gripes I would have is the bit where it changes down into what feels like 2nd or could be 3rd! gear, if you're in traffic then go to put your foot down a bit too quick I get this slight kick as it were, probably it's suddenly changing down to 2nd I suppose and the sudden torque shocks it a bit!lol if you see what I mean and also it changes up into 5th gear lock up(like an overdrive) a bit too soon sometimes if trekking along at say 40pmh ish and feels like it's labouring a bit, other than those issues seems good .
Cheers Pete

I'd check the fill level on the box, separate dipstick and see when the oil was last changed. ATF-Z1 is used on the 7th generation. Might be worth it.

Level all ok and was all replaced only about a month ago along with ATF-Z1
