Hi gents,

I have managed to swap our faulty automatic transmission to a manual on our 2.0 EX Accord. Everything went well, the swap was not too hard. We used the car for a couple of months, drove about 5k kms.

The only problem is the CEL went on as expected due to the unplugged A/T connectors right at the first drive, which is obvious. Also some kind of limited engine mode is kicked in, the rev. limiter is lowered to 5000 RPM. It's not just the VTEC failure as the engine won't rev more in neutral as well. So basically is there any experience or recommendation on solving this issue? I found some US description of this, but the connectors/colors is completely different compared the EU car. Maybe a complete wiring diagram would be very helpful!

I managed another swap on other older car, where I used some resistors to simulate the A/T's solenoids for example.

Unfortunately I can't provide error codes this time as my Bluetooth OBD-II reader doesn't communicate with the ECU of this car.

Thanks in advance!

I would imagine you would need another ECU, one from a manual car.
