So I took the car to honda for a health check and turns out front pads are 99% worn and the rears are 60%! So I am looking for aftermarket brakes as honda brakes don't really last long for the way I drive.

So my question is value for money what are the best options available? If someone could give me like a top 3 price wise that would be perfect!

I have called a few places and have been recommended that ebc green stuff are good, and maybe red stuff but they might not be applicable! Then I called vtec direct and a few others and they said not to touch ebc at all and recommended some ferrodo pads and groves discs! Then another person is now saying tarox pads! So I'm so confused!!!!! I'm looking for 4 pads (front, rear) and 4 discs (front, rear)! With new brake fluid! I don't drive like an idiot but I do like to give it some beans a few times so want the brakes to be able to able to cope, not always fade etc, just better than honda OEM brakes please!

Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Which Honda garage did your health check? It's a bit hard to believe that your front pads can be '99% worn' without your knowledge, as the wear indicator would have started to make a horrible screeching noise at around 80% worn!

I fitted Pagid discs and pads. Very happy with them and they're a very good price from EuroCarParts.

Crown honda hendon! They do squeal slightly but not too bad! Are the pagids good for occasional hard braking?

Yes, they're good for the odd time I brake hard. But I don't make a habit of it, so can't really say how good they would be for sustained hard driving with frequent hard braking in a short time span (but if you wanted to do this than you'll probably also need to upgrade the calipers & brake fluid as well). They're probably not much better than OEM, but a lot cheaper. Good for 'normal' road use, at least.

On the hunt for front pads for my car at the moment. Just had EBC Greenstuff before, very happy with them. But for the sake of trying something else im looking into other pads of the same level. So far the one that keeps popping up at me is Hawk HPS. Seem to be the pad i shall replace the EBCs with. Have a look into them.

I suspect the pads will be marginally better than oem if any! But then again anything will be better than 99% worn. If you really want a no fade pad then their is a trade off at cold/slow bite they feel less responsive to everyday braking until you lean on them hard. Be sure to flush your old brake fluid

Just had a change of heart! So I'm going for the Ferodo DS2500 pads and not sure about discs yet! Any ideas?

my recommendation would be stick to blank discs of decent quality. I've tried both and blanks work best with harder pads.

I have Bremtech grooved and dimpled discs too.
I want again!!!!! Lol! So what do you think of the discs? I have heard so many good things about the pads but can't really find reviews on the bremtech discs! What is the combo like? And anything I can expect from OEM?
