I'm going down the DIY route for certain things on my accord and just wondered where you guys positioned axle stands when needed to raise the car?

Don't want them to be unsafe or go crashing through the floor........

Only use the jack points, front and rear. Like when you change a tyre.

that's a good link

Sometimes I can't be bothered to get the trolley jack out and jack at the front, instead I use the scissor jack that came with the car. You'll find that there isn't enough room for the scissor jack and axle stand on the jacking point, but I have found that you can put the scissor jack just behind the jacking point (on the plastic sill) to raise the car there. Believe it or not, even though the plastic of the sill gets trapped between jack and car body, it does not break and leaves no trace of having been used there.

Yes, it can be a problem to put the car on stands while having the jack in the same spot you want them to be.

I use a really small jack to do it and manage to get the stands there too.

Like this.

if you have a hydraulic jack.. then use the center jacking point front and rear to raise up thrn use the jacking points.

more often than not I place my axle stands under a 'chassis mounting point' like the sub frame or location where the lower wishbone is attached to the car.

more that strong enought and imho safer.
