Better MPG on Sputnik..finally

First tankful after getting Sputnik back with replacement injectors.

Before : 36MPG
After : just over 43MPG and might have been better if it wasn't for a 2 1/2 hr queue on the M62 this morning.

Hoping a clearout of the intake/EGR might have an effect, maybe even a swap to my spare MAF sensor. Maybe the ECU needs to learn/adapt the new injectors too.

I'll be chuffed with 45+mpg, but at the end of the day 43+ isn't too bad.

..was hoping for 45+ but maybe its a stretch too far. I dunno how others can get 50+ out of pre-facefit 5spd models.

I wonder whether the terrain I have to cross from Manchester to Leeds has an effect, i.e. the climbs / dips / climbs over the Pennines, whereas others might be on more flat routes.

Winter tends to kill my MPG. I tend to get sub 40 mpg in the winter or around 40 and in the summer I get higher 40's, between 45-50. Mine is the six speed facelift though. Run to work is around 17 miles each way. Last full tank was 44mpg
