I've been getting an annoying resonance from my front passenger side speaker with the volume wound up. I ***umed I'd blown the driver, and really wasn't looking forward to trying to get into door to investigate.
Turns out it wasn't that anyway (phew!).
The screw cover on the door release was the culprit! With it removed (small screwdiver on the release tab), no annoying resonance. With it fitted, resonace back.
I've put a pea sized blob of silicon behind it (and the other three doors whilst I was at it) and all is well. Not so much that I'll never get the cover off again, just enough to provide a cushion to stop the vibrations. All told, 10 minutes work.
