Help....................... :(
I cant get the bonnet released on the internal catch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there a way of releasing it so I can fix it????????

Has the cable come out of the catch? If so either put it back in the catch or use a pair of pliers. What does the catch feel like?

the catch has no resistance in it at all... so you may be right and the cable may have come out......

the cable is attached the interior end, (unfortunately)..........
I've had a quick look around the grille area to see if there is anything to poke, push or pull, but couldn't see anything....
do I need to go in from underneath?

the 6th gen grille is difficult, but if you can get a flathead screw driver in between the slots and try and get the latch to open manually, even get someone to hold the latch lever in open position will your fiddling. this is the most common way to get it open.
 
Thanx Marcus.. I will try that.. I was almost ready to phone the dealer... shock horror.....££££££££££
 
Had a look last weekend...... took the grille off and found the secondary catch... but there is a shroud concealing the catch area.... bloody typical Honda over engineering.... LOL
Cant seem to find a way to get at the catch mechanism.......
Looking down through the now grilleless grille opening, I noticed two cut aways in the undertray..... I was wondering if they were to accomodate access to the catches from underneath?
I think im gonna visit a breakers to look at a catch mechanism to see what Im supposed to be poking at on my car..... LOL
 
hoefully you can sort it.

what colour is your accord, was in dav today, saw 2 6th gens one silver, and another green, was it you lol?
