Hi all,

This may be a dumb question.....I've searched the forum and google to find the answer but can't find it anywhere!

The car I have (52 se exec) still has the stock fit Bose single CD system with sub in the boot. There is a button on the unit with "Aux" on it. If I pull out the head unit is there an aux input at the back of it that I can use? Or is just on there to raise your hopes?

If I can't use the aux, any suggestions on how to get an mp3 player to work with this head unit? I quite like keeping the car original so not planning to replace the head unit.

I've also read there's an equalizer in the car somewhere?.....surely not....I'd have seen it by now?

You can fit a XCarlink to the CD changer port on the back of the head unit, this will then allow you to use the aux button - puss once for in dash CD, twice for the changer

Excellent thankyou

That xcarlink seems really simple to install - is it as easy as it seems?....

Also, a quick question.....the satnav is very old and dated. Is there any way of improving it? ie installing a garmin system in it?....

You can't install a different Sat nav system into it unfortunately, so you may have to go double DIN and buy a head unit like a Pioneer or so
