Brake disc thickness

I've bought some brake discs for my car (VII 2.4) from AP Motorstore (Brembos) and cant get the caliper back on.

They are apprently 28mm max & 26mm. I did select them specifically for the car. Am I missing something? Does anyone know how thick they should be?

Have you pushed the piston all the way back fully. You will need to take the lid off the brake fluid but watch for it overflowing.

It's not the piston but the bracket which the caliper sits on. When it's attached it's actually marking the disc and when bolted tight the hub won't even turn. I've had a look at EBC's discs for my car and they are Max 25mm Min 23. I selected the model as CL7 but should it have been CM5?
