hey guys... my rear pads and discs need changing... the pads had an advisory on my last MOT (December)... as well as the front pads being a fail (so i changed front pads and discs whith standard parts so it would pass)...

basically im just wondering, should i stick with standard flat rear pads and discs, or go with grooved, or grooved and drilled?...

my local parts supplier has quoted me £70ish all in for rear pads and discs... (standard)

what do you guys think/suggest?

cheers

I wouldn't bother with grooved and drilled on the rear unless you were getting glazing issues or want to look pimp. As for the front brakes probably the best upgrade you can make is to Type-R or Legend callipers.

I had some time ago grooved disk... after few month they got rusty... especially these grooves and I threw them away because they braked less then original flat... Grooved disk are needed only if you are extreme driver... brake always till disk becomes almost red from heat... then, all rust burns away.
