Bright metal door moulding removal

I have some nasty green mould growing under the bright metal door moulding directly below the door window glass on my '56' Accord and I wish to remove the moulding to give it a real good clean and also repolish the moulding.

Does any member know the correct procedure to remove this moulding, there is a screw at one end which obviously locks the part in place.

Welcome to the forum David. I don't know myself, but I'm sure there's the info on here somewhere. Personally, I've let mine grow :blush: . Find the mould adds to the character of the car :lol: . I will get shot of it one day though.

Now I think about it, I think there's a write up somewhere about changing a door and all the trim. Some one did this after a knock, got a door frame from a scrap yard and swapped over all the trimmings, window everything. Have a search for door swap or something, but use the google custom search. The stock forum search is a bit rubbish, often doesn't yield appropriate results.
