2003 exec satnav
Hi all.
After fitting subwoofer I turned my attention to the bluetooth/mp3 solution. My choice was Bury CC9058 kit with sot-047 adapter. This was my first time DIY and ended up with partial success. The problem is whenever I use A2DP/aux ,the sound is coming only through door speakers. I understand that the build-in amp converts HU signals from 4 channels into 8 channels output (high for tweeters, mid for door speakers , and low for 6x9 shelf speakers). Much for my disappointment there is no sound from tweeters and 6x9's when using aux/mp3 player , but when switching to stock HU (radio/cd) the sound is still as its suppose to be.
So I am looking for the solution how to make all the speakers play when using AUX/mp3.
The options are as far as I read :
- to feed tweeters from amp output for the front door speakers using hi level line converter- this mean to cut in somewhere into door speakers wires and connect converters, right? And the same for shelf 6x9 speakers -feeding them from rear door cables. My concern is whether the stock amp will be capable of handling rear door speakers plus shelf speakers off 2 channels now. What I mean fitting Bury kit causes 4 output(2 for tweeters and 2 for shelf) channels obsolete now, right?
- the other option might be replace stock amp with aftermarket one and run all the wiring from the scratch- which to be honest I want to avoid -I might be too challenging considering my lack of experience and no guidance available.
-last option is to give up and seek audio specialist help- any takers(Berkshire)?
And the last question- any way to use HU volume control for aux/mp3 (for now I have to turn off the HU in order to run Bury kit- otherwise I can hear both sources simultaneously)?
The whole idea behind it was to keep original HU, have bluetooth/mp3 and keep it simple- it is not anymore :(

I think you need a device called Xcarlink.
These device will have bluetooth streaming and ipod connectivity and even handsfree. It plugs into the aux port of the oem head unit. When you want to stream - you select aux option on the headunit.

As is goes through the headunit as an aux input it should use all speakers as normal.
I have the ipod version xcarlink and works really well. A very common wel used solution on the forum for accord users.

Hope it helps

Thank you.
I was aware of xcarlink before I went for Bury option. What I wasn't aware, was the problem I am facing now. It seem other people fitting Parrots and other brands didn't have this problem.
I am keen to figure out solution before I have to spend another £££ on xcalink when I've just bought Bury for this purpose. I think it should be feasible. I'll keep looking.
