Can the alarm be disabled to save battery whilst not in use?

I've not been able to find anything on this in the handbook.

Can it be done at all?

OK, that's the obvious one, but not practical in the situation I'm faced with, which admittedly I should have mentioned in my post. The car will be parked up at an on-airport secure car park, where airport staff themselves drive the car to its place.

Previous cars I've had allow disabling via simply locking the car with the key instead of the remote, but using the key on the Accord still appears to set the alarm ie indicators flash three times.

Pull the bonnet release lever or unplug the connector to the bonnet catch.
