Can you stop the sidelight and dipped light come on simultaneously?

Is there a way I could stop the sidelights come on when I want the dipped ones only? As you all know with accords, when you switch the dipped lights on, the sidelights go on with it. Thank you

I think that sidelights are compulsory with dipped headlights.

There was a time, a long way back, when it was legal to use sidelights only, but after a certain date all new cars had to bring dipped headlights on with sidelights.

The side lights are obligitary, and you run the risk of prosecution if they do not work, after lighting up time.

Well, you could take the sidelight bulbs out.

Not a good idea, though.
