I have had my 02 Honda 1.8 S for six months and have always had the same problem. The car hesitates when on low revs until it warms up and then its fine. I have changed the plugs, cleaned the EGR, checked hoses for leaks, changed the Throttle Body, changed the IACV, changed the 3 heat sensors and its still doing the same. Any ideas anyone, I'm desperate Dan.
I don't think they are hydraulic mate, I've had the cylinder head off my 2 litre engine and it definitely wasn't. What's your engine code? The only car I've got with hydraulic cam followers is my 21 year old Golf, I didn't think they were used in modern cars??
I bow to your superior knowledge. I will definately have the valve clearence checked now. Thanks a lot its nice to talk to people who know what they are on about. Do you know what the Intake and Exhaust settings are?
This!!! B) And none of the 6th gens have hydrolic valves on them. They are all manual.
When checking the clearances, make sure the car is REALLY cold, so idealy been left overnight. Otherwise you will definatly end up with wrong valve gaps.
