Hi i have an auto 2004 honda accord sports it is 134000 miles and since few days i have noticed that the car is making a grinding noise or somethink rubbing together on the passanger side breaks are good and strong i hit a kerb the other day could it be. That is the car safe to drive i went to my mechanic and he said its just a noise it happens when i accelate mainly like a grinding it happensat any speed i done 20 upto 70 and its still there what could this be thanks for reading and replying also my steering wheel was very light and its gone considerlaby heavy now compared to before

Hi,
hard to tell from the description, but could be, that the noise is from the wheel bearing. For the steefing, first I'd check if there's enough power steering fluid in its container (located left under the bonnet, next to the blue windwasher refill cap).
Good luck

Sam, that's good advice to check the fluid level... check your handbook to find out how, and what to use if the level is low. If you really have to use the car in the next few days then be very careful, as this could easily be a dangerous problem!

I think it would be best if you took the car to a decent garage as soon as you can. Or at least have it looked at by a properly knowledgable person... your 'mechanic' sounds absolutely useless.

Hi guys i had fixed the problem the level of the steering liquid was low the bottle had a hole in it replaced that to and one of the wheels was bent makeing a grindy noise but now it fixed and fine drives superbly now
