Car Mats

Hi guys, I bought a set of exact fit car mats of micksgarage.ie last week and just went to put them in after cleaning the car at the weekend. The holes to fit them are in the wrong place. This got me wondering if anyone else has had this problem with spurious mats? I bought cheap-ish ones because I work a job where I get kinda dirty so I didnt want to make a mess of my genuine Honda mats.

Peter. I had this with mine (bought off ebay). What I thought were holes for fitting to the OEM clips were actually holes for the carpet screws that came with the mats. I didn't fancy putting a couple of great big plastic screws in my carpet so just fitted them without using any clips. As they are shaped to the footwell they don't move about too much so I'm not bothered. I've had them in just over a year now.
