Morning Sirs,

Noticed i have a whining noise coming from the front of the vehicle, upon further inspection i can see that the aux drive belt is frayed at the edges, i ***ume the noise is down to this. The vehicle is a 2003, 2.4 exec on 68,000 miles.

Does anyone have a step by step guide to changing this? Also does anyone have a part number?

Thanks in advance

i cant see the guide on the above link. Looking for a step by step too if it can be done by yourself at home. Thanks

Nice!! Where did u get that diagram from where it shows you which nut to undo and the belt route? I mean i think i cant work it out from ur pic, but would be easier to have access to the same diagram as i am also wanting to change the aux belt too! Thanks!
No need to undo any nuts to change belt. Just get a longer spanner and pull back pulley to loose belt and the vice versus when putting it back.

Just a little tip take a photo of the belt before you take it off.
This way you won't get the belt going the wrong side of a pully.
It's a 2 min job

It is easy, but as adviced take a photo to make sure you fit it right.
