Hey guys just hoping someone can help me out. Had my front bumper off and my front crash bar is completely rotted. one side has brok apart from rust and other side isnt far behind. just wondering if the a facelift mk7 diesel is the same crash bar? As ive got one of them there non runner i can take bits off, but just wondering if anyone has words of wisdom before i do. Ill make sure to disconnect battery too as Im ***uming that the sensor on it is for the sirbags? any advice is handy guys n gals, thanks

they're all the same with the exception of a nvh compensating weight block suspended by bushings being added to some later models(I think). I know both petrol and diesel facelift wagons have them and I've just replaced a rotted out crash damaged diesel one with a petrol one
the crash bar doesn't come into contact with any component other than your frame rails and the outside air temp sensor so it should be a on/off job. no need to disconnect battery

That’s perfect mate, I kind of that that was the case but safer to check :) thank you for the fast reply, just gutted, was roasting yesterday sun splitting the pavements and now I’ve got to go remove it from my other car in thunder n lightning don’t know how well you can see in the photo but the right hand side is completely detached

So was a straight swap, dead easy apart from the two stubborn bolts which the drill sorted out lol thank you :)
