Clicking noise from drivers side ?

Hi guys

So I just noticed this new problem today, got out the car when it was on, stood next to the drivers front wheel and heard this clicking noise coming from that area ?

I have no idea what it is and i'm not sure if it can be heard whilst driving, however, just wanted to ask if anyone know anything ?

I dont think it is the bearings but im not an expert...

Could be the noise of metal components cooling?

well it cant be the bearing, as you were standing outside the car, you need to be rolling to hear that!

If its clicking whilst driving, id say CV joint.

If when the car is stationary, then a few main relays can click loud enough to hear it, or it could be iron components cooling down like Dan said.

It could be what Dan said after a hard drive, or if you got a diesel could be the start of the alternator going. If it comes and goes then most likely that, next time you hear it give the car a slight rev and see if it goes.
