Hi all, I've had this clunk when lifting my foot off the clutch at the point of bite for a while now. Finally got a look under the car and there was nowt obvious, but I grabbed the inner cv joint where it attaches to the intermediate shaft and I've got a fair bit of up down
Play. The passenger side also has a little play but not as much as the drivers. Common for the shaft to be faulty? Clutch etc, compliance bushing etc all ok. Thanks.

It could be the drive shaft but I'm going with the ARB bushes on the front were these done?

If it's the drive shaft you'd get a vibration at higher speeds.

If you had okay in the shafts you would tend to get vibrations when accelerating or under load. Clunking could be the ARB bushes.

To check i would disconnect the droplinks and tie up the bar. Reason being is driveshafts are not cheap and i would want to be sure

Yeah it's £125 for the driverside, it does need ARB links. So maybe I can do that first and see. Still think it's more shaft or even suspension related
