Honda Accord 2.0SE
I am seriously debating whether i should go down the lpg route, i was fully aware of the fuel consumption prior to purchasing it. I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas or reccomendations on which system is the best for the Honda accord 2.0 SE, 2001.

I am planning to keep the car for another 3 years, so i will make the money back or save money in the longer term

*not sure how to change ***le lol

you gotta weigh up the pros and cons mate.
what year is your car?
mileage?
how many miles do u do a year?
how many miles of that is round town?
;)

I would keep the car as it is tbo Iv heard to many horror stories with LPG

The School I work at 18 years ago bought a fleet of petrol Transit Minibuses ad converted the entire fleet to LPG, had LPG storage containers fitted on sight and everything. Ten years later it had scrapped them all or converted them back into petrol vans to be used just for moving things around the school campus. The ongoing issues with the vans had proven not worth the expense and now they're back to running Diesel Transits.

The car 27K miles on it, and i am planning to do about 20K miles a year and i am intending to keep the car for another 3 years minimum.
I ve done the maths, for me it sounds like a good investment

Its something I've thought about, but don't do anywhere near the mileage.

Can you live with lost boot space?
Are you going to install a FlashLube type cooling system and additional running costs?
What are the additional LPG servicing costs?
Are LPG and petrol MPGS the same, does a litre of gas take you as far as a litre of petrol?

Been given a quote for £1175, which includes all the Flashlube stuff that hondas need.
I doubt i ll do 20K miles to be honest but i definitley know that i am going to keep the car for at least 3 years. I am also intending to do some European trips so it will come in handy

from the above link it says that i will get 41.4 MPG equivalent (Town, start and stop driving). So when i do longer journeys i can expect a better return from the car. I just want to cruise at 80MPH (on private roads) and not worry about the fuel

Boot space is not an issue, i ll get an around it. Economy and Comfort is a must :)

Nice one, I have a relative (non Honda) who runs an LPG system and he raves about it.

Keep the thread upto date if you go for it, would be interesting to hear anothers 6th Gen's experience. ;)
