Creaking arm rest

Hello there!

I've had my diesel tourer (7th) for a few weeks now and very happy with it. Unfortunately I have a creaking sound coming from just in front of the arm rest near the hand brake I think. I will be going though the normal routine of remove everything and add padding but wondered if anyone else has had the same issue.

i have the exact same issue and its really annoying i hate creaky cars, please let me know how it goes so i can go about fixing it too

I had the same and I know what you guys talking about, you have to disassemble arm rest and stick a bit of felt on the slides. here are some pictures to show you what I mean.
unscrew two bolts and take your armrest from car
use long,thin screwdriver to unlock locking mechanism

red circle shows locking mechanism and this is how it looks after sticking some felt, armrest is moving a bit harder but there is no cracking

not so much tbh, you can still move it back and forward it all depends how much felt you stick on it, but do you really moving it so often?
