Hi all. had a bit of a mishap today, whilst parking up on the roadside today i got too close to the kerb and heard an awful scraping sound. After getting out and checking i found i had indeed scuffed my pentas on the edge for about 8 inches, felt sick as a parrot , mind you no point crying over spilt milk . Just wondered if any members had done the same and chipped the coating off their pentas alloys and what would be a quick inexpensive fix?

I did the same a few days ago mate, not a good feeling. I don't think i was concentrating enough and my wheels are powder coated.
I'll probably get them done again and will cost me £25 a wheel with them taking the tyre off. My wheels are 17s probably cost a little more the bigger the wheel.

my alloys flaked when I was cleaning my rims. i was gutted, bet its worse when you have the rims you like and then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!scrape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! curbs are evil.

Its very easily done Stuart i curbed mine 4 weeks ago :(

probably wouldnt have been too bad if they were just normal alloys but with them being coated it looks worse , but what mohammid says sounded very good £25 per wheel i thought it would be about £60ish per wheel . i will have to have look round and see if can get that price local .

In bham prices range from £25-£40 for 17" wheels, normally you get charged a fiver for them to take the tyre off.
If you have spare wheels then its ok, otherwise its s headache, i've been meaning to get my front two done for a little while now.

Had mine coated in November and by January had kerbed mine as well!

Sickening feeling i know but you get over it!
