Dead battery check engine

Right so I've had the car 5 days and I managed to kill the battery when I was sitting in it with a friend and i stupidly didn't have the jump leads I normally carry. Anyways the battery was dead and I thought **** it I'll bump start it, afterwards however the check system light came on along with the orange check engine light, when will this go off its been about 20 minutes now and I'm slightly Conserned, new cars are a pain

Yeah it's not the best idea but Its fine now the message went away.

It comes on until the battery reaches a acceptable charge.

The system light stays on for I beleive 3 start stops after it registers the fault. If the fault is no longer there then it goes off after 3 start stops of about 30 seconds or longer. It explains it in the owners handbook somewhere.
