Hi all,
Basically just looking for a OBD2 scanner for my 99 accord 2.0. Been looking on eBay but there's so many and I'm not a car tech wizard so don't wanna buy the wrong one. So could someone advise me? I'm looking for one that isn't just a cable but an actual unit that I can plug in and it will display the codes there and then (if that makes sense?). Doesn't have to be stupidly fancy with loads of features, just something easy and reliable.

Any that are within your price range if all you want is the code?! I've just been through this process myself.

In the end I bought a bluetooth one from amazon and bought torque for my phone. Works a treat!!!

Does your car actually have the OBDII port? Some variants of the 6th gen do not seem to have the port at all.

If he does it will be passenger side on the centre console theres a carpet tab, its behind there.

I have the same setup. using it for daily, km/h(because I pushing it to the limit and car gauge show more than it is in reality), mpg, temp and some other things to check :) it is as sport car gauge on my htc :D Recomend

for torque, where did you get your settings? e.g. weight of car, fuel tank capacity?....will that be in the Honda manual?

Yes, all in the manual.

However, without the use of a weigh bridge, I don't know how you would get the exact weight of the car. Plus, bear in mind it changes all the time - full vs empty tank, full vs empty stomach...

don't expect too much from such software. it's not a dyno. It will not show accurate values even if you count every gramme. Write everything from manual and it will be enough.

If you wanna exact weigt don't forget to count how much food you eat for breakfast,:lol:
