Hi Everyone,

New to the forum but not new to Honda Accords.

Really need some advice and some help. I just bought a 2004 Honda Accord type-s, Parted with my ever faithful 2002 Honda Accord SE EX for it.

My driver side window will go right down, no problems there, but it seems to get stuck when I try to close the window and lifts 2 inches and drops back down. To get it to flow upwards I have to grab the glass and pull up and towards the nose of the car for it to slide freely up. Also if I only close the window half way it has no problem closing itself. What could it be and how do I go about sorting this small problem?

Thanks for any advice

check out the condition of the rubber guide the glass runs on before stripping anything mate...if it looks ok,get some sort of lub(silicone spray or even some good old WD40) and spray down inside the guide(where the glass runs).worth a shot before getting dirty...or expensive!

Mine does the same, but only when weather is damp/wet. I guess it could be moisture in the system somewhere.

some silicone spray will help for sure. Stay away from WD40 as it is only a temp fix.

Good advice there from the guys as said try some silicon spray

Just got around to doing this. And I can report the advice works. Got a Smooth sliding window now. thanks!!
