Engine oil flush

Hi guys,

Can anybody please advise if engine flush is a good idea for a 100k run engine?

If so how to do it the best way and what product to use.

Thanks a lot all lovely people...

Engine flushes should be avoided. Plus if your car has run on full synthetic then even less of a need.
Oils already have cleaning additives, and if you run Shell V Power then your covered.

With good fuel and regular oil changes there should be no need for an engine flush.
If you are suffering from sludge then change your oil for a less expensive one and run for a few days.
Then drain and change your oil and filter for your regular brand.

I guess he's saying it can cause more harm than good. Engine flushes remove sludge which is caused by oil oxidizing. Removing these can block the oil passage ways, as the product normally requires you to run the engine for some time it'll be moving around your engine, can block your filter etc and worst cause cause a total failure due to low oil pressure situation.
modern oils as I said earlier have additives which prevent oil from oxidizing, I would guess your engine is fine.

Thanks for putting my point, not one for long explanations. LOL
