While changing my oil last night I couldn't help but notice my car is missing it's undertray, are these the same for all models or are diesel undertrays different?

Definitely not in the back of a Honda workshop, most likely in hundreds of bits at the side of the road somewhere judging by the small amount remaining where it used to be bolted on!

Luckily everything underneath looks pretty clean and straight so it looks like just the under tray was caught on something at some point and ripped off. Do they sit quite low normally? My car's lowered 40mm (although it is now running 18s) so I don't want to buy a new one and have it ripped off again.

Also, would there be a noticeable gain in fuel economy on the motorway with one fitted?

Sleeping policeman probably responsible. No idea if it will effect streamlining, but at least you will have no problem in getting your spanners back.

Have to agree Honda put these on for a reason to keep out water ingress to the sensors and things.

Will definitely refit one, even though it all looks surprising clean underneath Honda fitted them for a reason.

They arent the lightest things so having one off may help with the reduced weight. Although you could be right, they could improve undercar airflow. I very much doubt you will have engine trouble without one though.
