EODB 1260 ISSUE

Hi all, not sure where best to post this but since I have a 7th gen then figured this would be a starting place.

I have a Galletto 1260 cable and software problem. I have a windows 10 laptop and I cannot get it to read my ECU no matter what I try.

I have tried the following in the order shown:-

Usb , Odb , postion 2 on the key, software...
Odb, usb, postion 2, software
Software, usb, odb, position 2
Software, odb usb, psotion 2
Position 2, software, usb, odb
Position 2, odb, usb, software

I have also tried the above at position 1 and with the engine running

Simply I cannot get it to either "ECU DATA" or "READ ECU"

having watched multiple videos on people reading their ECU's and no matter what I have tried I have had no luck. Short of setting fire to the laptop and car I cant see a solution... neither of them would allow me to read the ECU but they would make me feel better

Is your windows 10 running 32-bit or 64-bit. I think this software only works on the 32-bit.

its 64 bit on all the laptops I have access to.

Any go-arounds anyone?

Maybe buy a cheap older laptop running on 32-bits

Agreed, the newer o/s will push you to go for services that pay the master.

You could try compatibility mode, but really you are asking for trouble since Win10 is designed to reject 16 bit software, so is unlikely to be 32 friendly in the main.
