exhaust fumes in cabin

hi everyone,experiencing exhaust fumes in cabin,have heard that this is a known issue but am wondering is it just for diesels or does it also involve petrol models?mine is a 2006 accord 2.0 i vtec any comments appreciated thanks.mileage 46000

Very rare in petrol cars, and no extended warranty I'm afraid.

OMG, first time to know petrol model got possible cracked manifold issue.... Better talk to Honda perhaps have it check first from Honda...

as shabz said check the exhaust system for leaks.
a stone might have damaged it somewhere.
Is the fumes the smell of petrol or exhaust fumes.

If its fumes get it sorted out quickly. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is not pretty !

Hello mate,

2 years ago Honda Coventry diagnosed my Accord Diesel to have a crack in the manifold and therefore I was getting fumes in the car. They quoted me silly amount, so left it.

a month later I decided to get it fixed at Honda Leicester and gave my car in expecting a huge bill but they came back to me and said it was a know fault and would repair it free of charge! So might be work asking your local Honda garage to check with head office that this is a common fault...
