I have been looking at many threads but i still dont know what is the best music playing option. I have and Ipod and a bluetooth phone.
My 2008 7th gen has bluetooth and sat nav system. I take it i cannot play music through the existing system via blue tooth as it only seems to be a system for phone calls?
With that in mind i wonder what is the best option. Should i look at other ways of playing music from my phone via bluetooth or go with an Ipod adapter. Seems to be lots of discussion but not really any agreement. I know what the xcarlink offers but is there a simple 3.5mm connection option with no charger or steering wheel controls, just a ipod connection with controls from the ipod itself? In my last car i put in a LIDL radio and it could do both bluetooth and 3.5mm connection, there must be an easy way?

Just remember, music from an iPod or iPhone is *****. Apps like MyTunes Pro make it better, but it is still pants, especially in a car.

Personally I think you are better of burning mp3s to a cd and then playing mp3s that way.

If you don't like to play in the garden with the apple stuff, then would recommend the Cowon J3 with a 3.5 lead..

Its got better sound quality and battery life than the Ipods etc

If the stereo has an aux in on the back, one of these will do the job http://www.maplin.co.uk/high-performance-3.5mm-jack-to-twin-phono-220194?action=noagentcheck

Hope you guys don`t mind me hi-jacking this thread, rather than start a new one.

I have the J3 (and would recommend it to anyone looking for an MP3 player) so would like to connect it up to my premium system. It has the 6 disc and sat nav.

Is is standard to have an aux in port at the back of the stereo so I could connect the Mp3 player? I don`t want to get into the back gubbins for nothing.

Cheers guys.

I have this on my accord can play either iPod or aux via 3.5mm cable. Pm me for details, happy to help :)
