Facelift illuminated steering wheel switches in a pre-facelift

Hi all,

Just wondered whether anyone knows if the non-illuminated steering wheel switches from the pre-facelift can be replaced with the illuminated ones from a facelift, ie. a straight swap without any modding? Not sure whether the necessary wiring is already there that senses the lights are on or not.

Anyone know?

I think you would have to mod the wiring harness to apply power to the bulbs or LEDs behind the switches.. I'm sure it won't be too hard

Some 05's do.

You can get the facelift buttons to work as the yanks have done it a few times over on the TSX forum.

The illumination is green by the way.
