Facelift vs Pre-Facelift

What would be the benefits/improvements of a facelift Mk7 Tourer vs a pre-facelift?

2004 to a 2008

6 speed, not that I use mine much. Apparently improved trip computer, handy.

I think they modified the timing chain guides/tensioner to decrease rattleability.

Roof rails are standard fitment on the later version.

Perhaps the seat trim and dash console (centre) is better adapted to satnav etc.

There’s actually a lot more under the skin, various improvements to the engine, engine management system, additional 6th gear, revised and improved external and interior styling and stuff that you can’t actually see but feel when you drive in terms of noise reduction and general smoothness. It’s the same between the 8th gen pre and post facelift cars.
