Fast Idle

Hello all,

Can someone tell me what their start up idle speed is on petrol 2.0 as mine seems too high. Starts at 1100-1200 revs and car feels like it is racing away, it drops to around 650 but takes a while.

Any help would be appreciated .

Sounds normal if your starting the car from cold?
Its the way the engine gets up to operating temperature.

As Shabz said this is normal its like the choke on older cars when starting from cold.If this happened when the car was warm then there would be a problem with your idle speed.

Get your battery tested and see if it's on it's way out or needs a charge B)
