Hi guys,
I've bought a car and on the way home on the motorway the DPF light came on. The previous owner said that it happened to him once like 3-4 months ago and that he's had the DPF cleaned at Honda (so probably a forced regen). To me it means that the car won't regen on it's own. And i want to figure out why.

So far I've done a service on the car ( engine oil and filters) and a service reset through the cluster.
Also checked all the live data through diagnostics, everything looked fine, no faults, the car drives normal (apart from the limp mode).

But

One of the YT comments said that the Intake Shutter Valve (ISV) is required for the DPF regeneration. In the diagnostics i've found an ISV test.
I did it, and the test came up as a failure. I took apart the intake to inspect the ISV, cleaned it and did the test again while looking inside to see
if it moves at all. It did move like it was supposed to (at least to my eyes).
I tried to do the forced ISV learn and then the test, same result.

So my question is- is the valve still faulty for some reason despite working normally, because it failed the ISV test?

Appreciate all thoughts or where to look next.

If you’ve seen your dpf light come on even once, it’s already toast. No amount of cleaning and forced regens will cure it. Drop me a line if you need a solution.
