Hi all my first post and I'm coming at you with a few questions. I purchased a 59 plate accord roughly 7 months ago and it's up for a service. I don't really want to pay the full whack price from Honda but I also don't want some monkey whacking the engine with a hammer. I have a mechanic friend who will do the service at labour only costs as long as I source all of the parts. I'm not a car man and really don't know firstly, what exact parts I need and secondly, what manufacturer I should be buying these said parts from. Any hep would be greatly appreciated.
My second question is about the spare wheel, or lack of it as it stands. The wife for a flat on he motorway today and was stranded for 3 hours with the kids as she couldn't use the gloopy **** they give you. What sort of money am I looking at for a space saver and is there a recommended site I can get hold of the tyre and the previously mentioned service parts. I work silly hours so actually going out to get this stuff is a major inconvenience.
Thanks all

Contact Honda Holdcroft for parts, they can deliver, so won't hamper your busy schedule. realistically, let them know the mileage and they can advise on whether the car is due a major or minor service, also have your mate look over the car to see if it's due brake pads, wipers etc.

HH can price a spare wheel but you can probably fine one online, eBay, gumtree etc. most 16" 5stud Honda wheels will for the Accord.

Thanks mate, I did actually see a post about the spare 2 seconds after posting >.<. Il give them a call tomorrow cheers

As far as I know only the tourer will take a full sized spare. If you've got a saloon you'll need a spacesaver.

I've got a Tourer full size steel spare for sale at the moment if you are interested.

Its a 16" steel with tyre, only had it for 2 years, bought new, only used very briefly once. Also complete with the lock down bolt for the boot, to stop it moving,

PM me if interested.

If you have room I have full size 16" alloys ex 7th generation, lying in the garage, five hole five spoke or pepper pot, I know they are not the same size as the 8th's but any port in a storm!
